deadline extension
we've extended the deadline for straight 8 2011 to midnight, april 18th
you've got a whole month left to make your film - time enough to make something amazing
the deadline for soundtracks is now april 26th

for our 9th consecutive year at cannes we're moving up in the world to the prestigious UK film centre
it's a beautiful beach-front pavillion in the heart of the international village and the home of the british film industry in cannes
it's an incredible place to see your film and to have it seen
on the evening of may 18th the cream of the 2011 straight 8 crop will be seen for the first time ever
you could be there, rose in hand, with an rapt audience cheering you on as you see your film for the first time since you looked through the viewfinder and pulled the trigger
